Satish Visavadia is a Professor of Education with a PhD in Education. He is an entrepreneur, Lecturer and a Director with vast experience in further and higher education, teaching, management and commercial business, both in United Kingdom and overseas. In his early years, he trained and qualified as a mechanical engineer. He Later achieved his master’s degree and PhD and qualified as a teacher and higher education lecturer. He acquired his post graduate teaching degree at the University of Northampton, also higher levels at University of Warwick and European Global School. He has been teaching and lecturing on BTECs, HNDs, Degrees and supporting students at Masters and PhD level. Over the many years working in education, he has been instrumental in advocating higher education in many ways and has managed accredited higher education institutions in UK including as principal, managing a college with over two thousand five hundred students and one hundred and forty staff across five campuses.
Professor Satish’s extensive global work in education and corporate business projects has enabled him to travel, work and be part of many professional organisations, networks and institutions with award of memberships to many prestigious professional bodies. These include, fellow membership of the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), associate fellow member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, member for the Institute for learning. Also, member for the Institute for learning (IOL), distinguished fellow of the International Institute for the Chartered Education Practitioners (IICEP), fellow of the Royal Institute of Chartered Administration and Technology (RICAMT) and fellow of Chartered International Educational Practitioners UK (CIEPUK). In 2020, he was honoured as a Professor of Marketing and Communications by Yaveh Hills University, South Africa for his innovative education work in Africa. He also became a participating member of the African Research University’s Association (ARUA). He was appointed as the Vice Chancellor (Hon) of Technological University of the Americas (TUA) in 2021, working with Professor Dr. Hubert Rampersad, a globally renowned academic, author and philanthropist. As part of this, he is involved with the European International University (Paris) and supports post graduate students. Lifelong, experiential and knowledge blended learning is also another area where he has involved with working with learners on experiential learning programmes. Currently Professor Satish is working fulltime as a Campus Foundation degree programme leader, also as a director with the London School of Media and Management.
Recent education developments for learning have involved Professor Satish with EDTEC, FINTEC, Artificial Intelligence, Coding and Robotics. This has led him to becoming a channel partner with a leading education technologies institution. He is bilingual in a few languages and has travelled extensively around the world capturing commercial, corporate & education markets, developing and building vast array of experiences, knowledge and skills.
